What areas in San Diego do you currently provide services in?
We provide services in specific areas throughout the City of San Diego, CA. These areas include: Mission Valley, Downtown San Diego, Little Italy, Banker's Hill, Hillcrest, University Heights, North Park, Point Loma, La Jolla and possible other locations near these areas.
Do you have any pets of your own?
Yes! Angela owns two Maltipoos named Panda and Bubbles. Her furry babies are sisters born in 2007 and they have been a part of her family since they were eight weeks old. She loves her girls and treats all of her fur friends with the same care and compassion she shows her own.
When is payment due?
For regularly scheduled dog walks, payment is monthly at the beginning of each month (unless a different payment plan is agreed upon). This reserves your space in the weekly schedule and gives you priority for your chosen days and times.
For clients who have changing schedules and need their dog/s walked occasionally/different days each week, payment is either weekly or a minimum of 5 visits are prepaid for and we keep track of when those prepaid visits run out (like a punch card system).
For one-time or very occasional visits as well as pet sittings, payment is due the same day service begins.
What is your policy for cancelling a dog walk?
To be fair to other clients, we appreciate cancellations as soon as you know you won’t need our services. At the latest, walks can be canceled by 7:00pm the evening before the day of the visit for the walk to be fully credited to your next statement. If cancelled after 7:00pm the evening before the visit, there will be a $10 charge as we have blocked out that time for your pup/s and may have missed out on other pet visits.
What if my dog walker is sick or is going on vacation?
You will meet two-three dog walkers in your initial consultation. Between the two-three walkers, there will always be someone available for your fur kids. In the rare case we are not available, we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know.
Can I book dog walks and/or pet sittings with any walker/pet sitter?
No. All dog walks and pet sittings must be scheduled by either sending a text message or calling Oh Happy Dog! at: (619) 753-6964.
What are the advantages of a dog walker versus daycare or a kennel?
For some dogs, doggie daycare may cause anxiety and stress from a new and ever-changing environment. Also, common dog illnesses can be contracted in this setting as well as the kennel environment. A dog walker and/or in-home pet sitter allows your dog to maintain their regular schedule in their comfortable, familiar environment, while providing them exceptional attention and care.

Here at Oh Happy Dog!, you will personally know/have met the two-three different walkers/sitters that will be entering your home and caring for your furry children. With on-demand dog walking services, a different/new walker (who you likely have never met) comes into your home for your pets. While your beloved pets are considered fur-children in our eyes, it is similar to hiring care for your human children...would you use a phone app to hire an on-demand babysitter who you've never met and give them access to your home?

Can you walk my dog at the exact same time every day?
We do our best to arrive to your fur kid at your preferred time but we do schedule visits within a two-hour timeframe. Because peak hours for mid-day dog walks are between 11:00am-3:00pm, we must schedule a two hour window for our arrival time.
Do you offer discounts or have a referral program?
Yes! For each new client you send our way that sets up ongoing, regularly scheduled dog walks with us, we provide you with one free 30-minute visit (a $20 value)! If you refer someone that needs a one-time or occasional dog walk or pet sitting, we will provide you with a $10 credit!
