Since 2010, Angela has been providing professional dog walking and pet sitting services. She established Oh Happy Dog! in 2015, devoting herself to the well-being of San Diego’s fur kids. As a young child growing up on her family’s ranch in Vista, CA caring for many animals including several pups, her love for animals blossomed. In her youth, Angela was involved with 4-H for nine years where she cared for animals and participated in horse shows. While attending college at San Diego State University, she volunteered with the local animal shelter and also became a foster for Pitbull Rescue. This allowed her the opportunity to spend time socializing, exercising, and providing TLC to all breeds and sizes of canines. This experience enhanced Angela’s realization that she had a deep passion to pursue a career where she was enriching the lives of animals.

Upon graduating college in May 2010, Angela established San Diego Critter Care, a professional pet care business. After an amazing year and a half of providing pet care services in San Diego, her husband was accepted to a doctoral program at Western Michigan University. This opportunity took Angela to Kalamazoo, Michigan where she established, Fido’s Choice Kalamazoo, providing pet care to local families. While in Kalamazoo, Angela also volunteered with Animal Rescue Project where she was a member of their fundraising committee.

When Angela and her family’s time in Kalamazoo was coming to an end, she decided that once they returned back to San Diego, she would establish a new professional pet care business and continue doing what she loves and does best. Since 2015, Angela has been back in her hometown of San Diego caring for her furry friends as Oh Happy Dog! She truly enjoys every moment she spends with her sweet fur pals and building friendly, trusting relationships with their families. Angela personally manages the daily operations of the business such as initial consultations, setting up schedules, and most importantly, providing the dog walking and pet sitting along with her small, dedicated team.
